We were elated to host Harlem 2 Harlem again this year. 3 startups from Harlem, New York and 3 startups chosen by us in Harlem, New York and 3 startups chosen by HaarlemValley in Haarlem, Netherlands competed in an international pitchfest. We had some amazing companies pitch

The Startups
  1.  Duro UAS (NY) – a eco-drone manufacturer with the mission to create sustainable cities through better data collection.
  2. NIGW (Netherlands) – IoT platform – makes sure the elderly can live longer and healthy at their own home
  3. Oweyaa (NY)  – is fixing the pipeline between people coming out of the military and the modern job market.
  4. Swipeguide (Netherlands)  – SaaS solution to create effective user manuals
  5. PriceCheckPay (NY) –  a mobile self-checkout app that allows users to securely scan items, pay from their phones and walk out.
  6. NoFoodWasted (Netherlands)- a mobile app against food waste in supermarkets.

The turn out was great with a filled room during the networking session from 6pm to 7pm

We started off the night with our CEO, Clayton Banks introducing the amazing, Gale Brewer, Manhattan Borough President. She spoke of all the work the city was doing and introduced the Mayor of Haarlem Jos Wienen to speak before they signed a historic document.
